In 2013, accompanied by Mr. Lin Wenhui, the president of the Hong Kong Qigong Tai Chi Association (a direct disciple of Master Wang Xian), I traveled to Chenjiagou, Henan, to learn Chen-style Tai Chi and Tai Chi Qigong from Master Wang Xian (one of the Four Great Masters of Chenjiagou).

Master Dan Ying (a direct disciple of Master Li Jingwu and a brother of the Four Great Kings of Chenjiagou) officially accepted Wu Zhaohui as an inner disciple in 2024. For details, please refer to the Lingnan Jingwu Taijiquan Student Directory (Li Jingwu's Lineage Table).

Master Zhao Hongwei (founder and chief master of the Zhao's Xingyi Taiji School) formed a bond with Wu Chaohui in 2007 and officially accepted Wu Chaohui as his direct disciple in 2024, who is also a disciple of Master Li Chunling. After assessment by Master Zhao Hongwei, the chief master of Zhao's Xingyi Taiji School, and Master Lin Wenhui (the head of Xingyi Quan in Hong Kong), it was unanimously agreed to appoint Wu Chaohui as the head of Xingyi Quan in Australia and concurrently as the president of the Zhao's Xingyi Quan Association in Australia.

Since then, Wu Chaohui has become the inheritor of the four major orthodox lineages, namely Taijiquan (Chen and Wu styles) and Che-style (Che Yizhai) Xingyiquan (enlightened by Lin Wenhui and apprenticed under Master Shan Ying).

Wu Chaohui's personal practice is even more rigorous and relentless. For more than five years, he has gone to the seaside to train every day at 5 a.m., regardless of the weather, until the sun rises. This persistence has forged a strong will in him amidst the cold winds of early mornings, which can drop to as low as 5 degrees. After each standing meditation, he is soaked through, but he has never backed down. All of this has laid a solid foundation for his practice of Tai Chi and has deepened his understanding of it.

Master Lin Wenhui meticulously guides Wu Zhaohui on the essentials and principles of Tai Chi.

In addition, Wu Chaohui became the dedicated disciple of Master Dan Ying, who was under the careful guidance of Li Jingwu. Li Jingwu is a disciple of Chen Fake, who, as the ninth generation of Chen-style Tai Chi, made significant contributions to the spread and internationalization of Tai Chi in the north. Disciples of Chen Fake, such as Chen Zhaokui, Li Jingwu, and Feng Zhiqiang, played important roles in the promotion of Tai Chi. Through the teachings of Li Jingwu, Master Dan Ying mastered the core techniques of Tai Chi and imparted the essence of its practices to Wu Chaohui. Under Dan Ying's guidance, Wu Chaohui further deepened his understanding of the philosophical connotations of Tai Chi, especially reaching a higher realm in the integration of movement and stillness, as well as the balance of yin and yang. Through the meticulous instruction of these two masters, Wu Chaohui not only enhanced his skills but also found profound insights in the spiritual world of Tai Chi.
